In March 2016, Core used its newly refurbished wood chip facility to transfer 44,000 metric tons of wood chips onto the Andalucia. The wood chips were then carried to an overseas medium density fiberboard manufacturing facility.

Subsea 7 Murphy Dalmation Project

Core also completed the heavy-lift services required for Subsea 7’s Murphy Dalmation Project in February 2016. Several umbilical reels were loaded onto Subsea 7 vessels for transport to an oil field in the Gulf of Mexico.

n February 2016, Core completed heavy-lift services for Subsea 7’s Shell Stone Project. Core used its heavy-lift capabilities to load umbilical reels stored off-berth onto Subsea 7 vessels for transport to Shell’s Stone Oil Field located in the Gulf of Mexico.

In January, Core loaded the first wood chip boat of 2016 for Delta Forest Products. Approximately 44,000 metric tons of wood chips were loaded onto the marine vessel Yildazar. In December 2016, Core personnel loaded approximately 45,000 metric tons of wood chips onto the Andalucia, a 590-feet marine vessel, over a three-day period. The wood chips were shipped from Core’s facility to the manufacturing facility of one of the leading producers of medium density fiberboard or MDF.

BP Umbilical Reel Unload

In December 2015, Core transferred a refurbished, 70-ton umbilical reel from off-berth storage to the dock. The reel was loaded onto a barge provided by BP to be used at one of their oil fields in the Gulf of Mexico.
